		<description>Hi Mary, it depends on the type of pension you have. If you are solely reliant on the social welfare pension this is not effected. If your pension is an annuity from a defined contribution scheme you are also fine. 

However, if you were in a defined benefit scheme you could be effected, as it will be up to the Trustees of the scheme how to apply the levy. 

My advice is that if your pension comes from a defined benefit scheme you should contact the Trustees of the scheme and ask how they are intending to apply the levy?

		<description>Good evening.  I was wondering if this levy will affect people who are already on a pension.   If I receive a pension of just 238.00 a month will I be liable for this proposed 0.6% levy and if so will my monthly pension as small and all as it is be reduced.
